Об исполнителе:
Arman Sumpe d.e. aka Arman Sumpe Dur Express was a shortlived, early Norwegian jazzinfluenced funk/R'nB/prog rock-band. The band started in 1970 when Jahn Teigen, at the time in Israel, was asked to join the newly reorganized band Reidar Myhres Orkester, based in Oslo. The new band took its name from Reidar Arman Myhre's middle name, and a rather silly wordplay on his last name ('myr' in Norwegian is 'marsh' or 'bog', 'sump' is 'swamp, my(h)r-e became sump-e). The repertoir was changed fram standards and dance tunes, to covers of Blood, Sweat And Tears and Chicago (2) and new material by band members. In 1972, several of the horn musician's left the band, and it changed into Popol Vuh (2), later to Popol Ace.
