X-Raves

1980 Bio: Originally called "The Raves" the X-Raves had their first rehearsal in October of 1979. Wade Mathias and Kelly Milter had recently seen "The Police" and decided the time was ripe for New Wave music in Tidewater. They recruited Alan Whitlow and Chuck Porter and began a period of intense rehearsal. Their debut at Friar Tucks on January 18, 1978 was an overwhelming attendance breaking success and they've been raving to the hilt ever since.
