US guitarist and accountant. Music Industry Partner and co-founder of FKCo has over 40 years of accounting, tax and consulting experience in the music industry. Worked for United Technologies Corporation (1978-1981), Ernst & Whinney (1981-1984), and Continental Investor Services Corporation (1984-1985). In 1985 founded FKCo and has since become a leader in providing accounting, tax and consulting services for the music industry. Writer for Music Inc. Magazine, DrumHead Magazine and International Musician Magazine. He is also a faculty member of NAMM University, host of NAMM’s interactive Financial Management CD-ROM, moderator & instructor of Yamaha’s Financial Advantage program sponsored by their Customer Financial Services division, and moderator of Harley Davidson Motor Company’s Inventory Excellence program. In his spare time, Alan can be found either recording in his basement studio or playing guitar in any one of his three rock bands, Cannonballz, the all-CPA band The Accounting Crows and the print music industry band Printz.
