Mike Farrington

The son of a musician, Mike’s music obsession started early. Influenced by the early 90’s alternative music explosion, he formed a band and began playing all ages and bar shows while in his early teens and has steadily played shows and worked with a diverse line up of people since. Mike joined The Mellotones in 1997 as part of the original line up with original singer Tony Smith and founding members Tim Baker and Fionn Chin-Yee. He’s since worked with a who’s who of east coast artists including: Garrett Mason, Matt Mays, Matt Andersen, Nathan Wiley, Erin Costello and many more. He can be heard most recently on Nathan Wiley’s EP Modern Magic with some of his fellow Mellotones. Mike also teaches guitar, bass and ukulele through Long & McQuade and tries his best to behave like a functioning adult. Bass - Nova Scotia, Canada Not to be confused with Michael Farrington (2).
