For more than 40 years, Jim Eshleman or "Esh" has performed on stages throughout the United States and has established a reputation as an innovative and remarkably talented professional pianist, organist and keyboardist. Esh was privately tutored on organ in his childhood and went through a long list of instructors. He won the talent competition in junior high school and began performing professionally at the age of 14. He carried on his performing through his military service an an audio-visual technician with the U.S.A.F. playing with regional bands in the Midwest before returning home to Georgia in 1980 to study theory and composition in college. Esh performed with a myriad of popular bands but achieved greatest fame as the leader of the all-electronic "Esh & Star Company" which won the Georgia State SEARCH V competition in 1983. This launched him into the national spotlight with a series of tours with the Chattanooga and Fort Worth Symphonies. Building upon that success he founded New Lake Studio in Macon, Georgia to focus on commercial recording... a business which garnered 16 "Addy" awards. Esh relocated to Savannah, Georgia in 1990 and continued to perform in solo, duo and trio combinations along the coast. He married his wife Sheila in 1995 and they relocated to Hilton Head, SC in 1999. Esh established himself as one of the top entertainers in the coastal region and produced five popular solo CD's. In 2008, Esh and Sheila moved to Kennesaw, Georgia just northwest of Atlanta where he continues to write, record and perform today. Esh is currently the official event musician for Atlantic Intercontinental University (AIU) and he performs regularly at the Atlanta Civic Center. Besides having a music career that spans four decades, Esh has also maintained a rigorous career as an IT Support Technician and he holds many top certifications. He has been featured both as an artist and as a writer for Keyboard Magazine.
