Swedish traditional folksinger from Raukasjö, born 25 June 1886, died 25 September 1977. When she moved to Enskede in the thirties, she got used to use her knowledge of old culture and old traditions in a partly new way. Admittedly, she had sung constantly, but now she also became a informant for the Nordic Museum. From 1940 onwards, she answered over sixty questionnaires on various topics. When the then Radiotjänst, in collaboration with a number of scientific institutions, began a folk song competition in 1948–1949, Ulrika Lindholm also sent in a grant. The competition was then followed up by radio recordings. The first opportunity came in 1952 when Matts Arnberg recorded a selection of her songs on behalf of Swedish Radio. The recording opportunities in the studio in Stockholm would be many. Most were made from 1958 onwards. Ulrika Lindholm was then just over 70 years old, but her voice was still strong and vital. By highlighting and portraying tradition bearers in this way, Matts Arnberg (2) contributed to giving them artistic status. Between 1952 and 1964, Swedish Radio recorded about 330 of her songs divided into the following types of songs: 66 song and dance games, 44 small songs, 42 folk love songs, 30 literary songs, 22 jokes, 16 spiritual songs, 8 ballads and a small number of drinking songs, peasant comedian songs, nid songs, obscene songs, sailor songs, didactic songs, sobriety songs and emigrant songs. To these can be added a lot of school songs, patriotic songs, hymns and spiritual songs.
