José Pafumy

José Pafumy mainly worked as a melodist and outstanding musician, arranger and conductor of a popular Latin orchestra in the 1940s. Along with Juliano Castro Valencia, lyricist and librettist, he composed and produced songs like “Rumba Rumbá” for the Gotham label in New York , the bolero “Mi nuevo amor” on the RCA Víctor label, “Seré de ti, Serás de mí” for the Seeco label, the Guaracha-Son “Mambo” for the Philips label or the Rumba-Guaracha “Caramba, Caramba” recorded by the international orchestra of the Spanish Xavier Cugat.
