Об исполнителе:
Frank DiGiacomo musician and songwriter. June 26, 1937 - March 24, 2012 Frank was born in White Plains, New York. He graduated Cum Laude, from Mercy College, as a chemical engineer, and he received multiple patents from his works. In the late 50's Frank, an accomplished musician, joined together with his fellow, White Plains, classmates Joe Renda, and Zacharie Clements.to form the a rock ‘n’ roll combo, The Sherwoods. New York City’s record industry, still second to Los Angeles as the center of pop music commerce, was still a powerhouse in the early ‘60s. With talent and ambition, a band could manage steady work, as The Sherwoods did. As well as backing local singers Johnny Schilling and Tony Reno they also managed to nail down some songwriting credits for vocal group The Shells and, strangely, for French entertainer Henri Gabriel Salvador whilst still having time to turn out a handful of 45's along the way. The band operated around New York City’s pop music scene from late ‘50s to the early-to-mid-‘60s after which the members went there separate ways. Some stayed in the music industry most notably Joe Renda whilst Clements went on to become a teacher and motivational speaker. Frank continued in music , for a time after, making appearances on American Bandstand, Clay Cole Show, and the Stardust Hotel (Las Vegas). A New York resident most of his life Frank Anthony DiGiacomo, sadly passed away March 24, 2012 at age 74.
