Male Slut

Male Slut was a rock trio formed by Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore on guitar and vocals with Tim Foljahn on 2nd guitar and Steve Shelley (also from SY) on drums, both Tim and Steve had also been together in Two Dollar Guitar, Thurston claims that Male Slut was how Julie Cafritz of Pussy Galore referred to her bandmate Jon Spencer and that he thought that would be a cool band name. The trio only released a seven inch with this name as Thurston preferred to released "Psychic Hearts" (1996) in his own name despite the record containing the same formation.
