Wyn Jones

Wyn and his older brother Richard are the founding members of the welsh language new wave/pop band Ail Symudiad from Cardigan, in West Wales, UK in 1978. Wyn played bass. He also became an accomplished producer. After releasing one single on the Sain label, in 1981 they both founded their own record label and recording studio in their home town of Cardigan called Fflach Records. They released many singles and albums in both welsh and english, also giving young and up and coming bands/artists a chance to record in their up-to-date studio complex. Ail Symudiad continued to release albums and singles for the next 30 years and during this time they set up two further labels, namely Fflach Tradd in 1997, focusing on traditional welsh music and Rasp in 2000. Wyn passed away on 25th June 2021 whilst suffering from pancreatic cancer whilst just over a month later his brother Richard passed away suddenly on 29th July 2021 from undiagnosed liver cancer.
