Christa Eghbal

Austrian bohemian harp, percussion, guitar, Keyboards, recitation and vocalist. Trained language teacher (French, Spanish), studied classic piano, later guitar and keyboard, medieval music on dulcimer and recorder, worked with different folk-groups in Italy and France, collecting old roman folk songs (France, Spain, Italy and Belgium), studies of ethnic African percussion and dance with Odile Banamwana (former director of the Zaire national ballet), song-compositions and Cd-publication: “L’Afrique c’est toi”, autodidact approach to the Bohemian Harp based on the model of old Persian harps („chang“), studied Persian music with her husband Mohammad Eghbal, member and organizer of Ahura since 1989.
