Wade Bernard was born December 15, 1953 in Thibodaux, Louisiana, USA, and grew up in Golden Meadow along Bayou Lafourche, 50 miles south of New Orleans. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1981 where he joined up with Grand Ole Opry Star Jimmy C. Newman and Ronnie McDowell touring the USA and overseas. Wade has recorded with various Cajun, swamp pop and country artists, as well as released his own Cajun French music CDs. Wade has been nominated by the Cajun French Music Association for Best Cajun Vocalist in 2001 and 2002. Bernard's father Dudley Bernard was also a musician, and the two collaborated frequently.
