Bolivian musician and composer (b. 29 of July 1924 - d. 10 of February 2011). He founded a first trio called "Los amigos del pueblo" in 1943, it was made up of Jorge Ruiz and Gilberto Soleto. From 1944 to 45 he took a specialization course in musicology and history in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1947 he began as a teacher of Music Education in the teaching of Camiri, where he composed the taquiraris "Camiri" and "El penoco". On June 12, 1948, he created the group "Cordillera", made up of Godofredo Núñez, Gilberto Moreno, Rafael Paniagua and Nilfor Ibañez. This group was in musical activity until 1957. In the 1950s he worked in the city of La Paz, in 1957 he traveled to Moscow to the World Youth Festival with the musical trio "Bolivia". In 1964 and 65 he worked as a music teacher at the Franz Tamayo School in the Villa Victoria area in the city of La Paz, years in which he is remembered where he used to sing his taquiraris, "El penoco" and "El petrolero". He released several musical albums such as: "Cancionero oriental" from 1947, "El cambita" from 1951, "School album" from 1959, "Así canta el oriente" from 1967 and "Santa Cruz and his music" from 1977 with 35 songs for piano , where he dedicated themes to various carnival troupes. His most popular songs are: "El Penoco", "Jumechi", "Cachafaz", "La Roulette del Destino", "El Petrolero", "El Camba", "Camba Alegre", "El Cupesi", "Alborozo Camba" and others. In 1968 the Hermanitas Saldaña recorded the song "Jumechi" with great success. The singer-songwriter recorded an album with Lita Guzmán and received several distinctions in his hometown as well as in Santa Cruz.
