Between 1975 - 2019 Junkyard Angels were often the UK backing band of choice for visiting American Blues musicians such as Louisiana Red, Eddie C. Campbell, Carey and Lurrie Bell, Lazy Lester, Lefty Dizz, Tabby Thomas, UP Wilson and Eddie Kirkland. Fronted by founder Julian Piper, the band toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe as well as performing at numerous blues festivals across the continent.
