Clarence A. Stout

American songwriter and musician. Born Oct. 19, 1892 in Vincennes, IN. He was friends with W. C. Handy, Clarence Williams, Jimmy Durante, Duke Ellington and Count Basie. He was a full member of ASCAP since Oct. 30, 1941 and died on Oct. 29, 1960 from a heart attack. Among his compositions are "Jerry The Junker" and "Wabash Waltz".
