The Maisonettes

British pop group fronted by ex-City Boy singer Lol Mason. They released one album and a couple of singles, having a solid hit with "Heartache Avenue". The background singers on stage at first were models Elaine Williams and Denise Ward who, however, only lip-synched. By the time of the album's release they had been replaced by Carla Mendonca and Elisa Richards. The real vocalists behind the scenes audible on the songs were Cathy Evans (2), Sue Smythe and Kim Pickett from Proper Little Madams.
