The Swedish journalist Michael Dee born September 1957, moved to London after high school, where he came into contact with John McGeoch, who produced Dee's debut album, Snälltåg till himlen in 1983. Then Dee made another record, Portraits in 1987, and since then it has been quiet. Musicians were Göran Klintberg on drums, Dee himself on all kinds of piano instruments, McGeoch on guitar, and an 18-year-old Idde Schultz as chanteuse. The single Hurra Hurra Vad Det Är Roligt I Moskva was a cover of Karl Gerhard. It became a minor hit, was played extensively on the radio and there was also a television appearance for Michael Dee in the biggest pop and rock program of the time on SVT. Before 1983, he released, among other things, a high-octane single "Breaking the ice" on an established record company in England. Michael Dee also collaborated with Kjell Alinge and made several songs for the radio program Eldorado. He was a member of the local band Demokratisk dans, who once played live in Eksjö 1982-07-24 at the event "Pop i VP". 2008-2013 he ran the art gallery DIEMAR/NOBLE PHOTOGRAPHY in London with Laura Ann Noble. In June 2017 Michael Dee, or Torsten Diemar as he is actually called, returned to Eksjö for the lecture on the theme "Art, design and architecture in the service of the revolution" at the museum.
