Angela Arena

Australian soprano (b. Sydney, 19?? - d. ????) Won the 1950 Australian Amateur Hour Competition and the 1951 Sydney Sun Aria. Performed with the Rockdale Municipal Opera Company and later joined The Australian National Opera Company. Toured NSW and Queensland with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 1952. Went to Italy in 1954 and debuted in "Madame Butterfly" at Bologna in 1955. San in Venice, Florence, Germany and on the BBC in London. Toured Germany in 1957 and later appeared on radio & television in Italy.
