Fazzio

Fazzio as a cover artist remains a big mystery as there is very little information out about him that is actually verifiable today. For instance do we know little about his affiliation with the Crown Records label, nor do we have any idea why he stopped designing album covers in 1965. What we do know is that he created about 50 album covers in 1963 and 1964, mostly for the cheapo budget Crown Records, and that these records find a lot of collector's interest, more for Fazzio's covers than for the actual musical content. Much of the mystery about Fazzio has been solved: Fazzio's birth name was Edward Ezra Stein & he was a portrait artist who lived in Los Angeles (1904-1989).
