Vera Carey

Vera was in born in Camden, New Jersey, USA and started singing in school. From kinder­garten onwards, she were taught singing and vocal parts, so she was always harmonising. Her first singing friend was Brenda Kilgore and then Lucille Dunbar. They used to sing together all the time and were inseparable. It was Lucille who brought [a6085290] [Carstarphan] to Vera's house. She knew Timmy through his family and the church. Timmy was starting a group and he wanted some female back-up singers. Lucille was one and, because they used to sing together, she came to Vera's house with Timmy to get her involved.
