Bulgarian photographer-artist He was born on March 2, 1946 in Sofia . In 2014 he defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of photography at the Institute for the Study of Arts at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 1975 he graduated in electrical engineering at the Higher Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (now - Technical University), and in 2007 - culturology at the Faculty of Philosophy at Sofia University . In 1978 - 1979 he was a photo editor of the fashion magazine " Lada ", in 1979 - 1981 - a photographer at the architectural institute "Glavproekt", and in 1981 - 1991 - of the magazine "Nasha Rodina". From 1996 to 1998 he worked at the Small City Theater Behind the Canal , and from 2001 to 2006 he was a photographer-artist at the National Gallery for Foreign Art . From 2007 to 2010 he led a project in the section on digitalization of scientific and cultural heritage at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences . At the same time he published in the magazine "Bulgarian Photo", "Fatherland", "Biographer", "Literary Front", "Jewish News" and in other newspapers and magazines. Since 1999 he has been a part-time lecturer in press photography at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications at Sofia University. Active participant and leader of a representative photo club at the Emil Shekerdzhiyski Chitalishte. He is professionally interested in stage photography, jazz , dance , theater , portrait , architecture , naked body, landscape and photojournalism. Participated in scientific expeditions in Nepal in 1987 and in Antarctica in 2000. He has realized over 50 solo exhibitions, approx. 20 of them abroad - Paris, Vienna, Tel Aviv, Salzburg, Helsinki, Moscow, Warsaw, Thessaloniki, Copenhagen, Vilnius, Trieste, Bucharest and others, as well as in the Bulgarian Antarctic base on Livingston Island. In his exhibition from 2021 "Homage" uses a new technical method for manual rearrangement of the image - modular photography. He released a special album dedicated to Владимир Высоцкий in 1994 in Amsterdam . Published a history of Bulgarian photography for the period 1839 - 1959.
