Lloyd Chandler

(1896–1978) was an American Appalachian Folk musician and Free Will Baptist preacher from Madison County, North Carolina. He is thought to be the original author the popular folk song "O, Death" or as he titled it "A Conversation With Death" that he claimed to write in 1916. His version was finally recorded by John Cohen (2) in November 1965. His sister was Berzilla Wallin and he was a cousin to Dillard Chandler.
