(20 Mar 1926 • Peyton, Colorado -- 13 Aug 2003 • Tucson, Arizona) Posthumously inducted into the Tucson Musicians Museum in 2017 along with his widow, Mae Camp. Not your typical cowboy, Chuck Camp held a B.A. in Physics and an M.A. in Education and was a college science teacher. He also served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War, earning the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. A resident of Colorado Springs in the 1950's, Chuck was one of the earlier recruits to the Flying W Wranglers group which provided musical entertainment for Russ Wolfe's Flying W Ranch outfit. In 1969 he left the Flying W group and headed to Tucson, AZ where he founded his own outfit, the Triple C Ranch Chuckwagon and its entertainers, the Triple C Wranglers. He returned to his alma mater on the weekend of Oct 3-4, 1975 when Russ threw a two-day shindig in Colorado Springs to celebrate the nation's bicentennial. Chuck and his wife retired from performing in 1990 and their son Bill took over running the Triple C Ranch operation until the facility closed in 2003.
