Ulyanovsk Academic Symphony Orchestra. Full name in Russian: Ульяновский государственный академический симфонический оркестр (УГАСО) Established in Ulyanovsk, Russia, in 1968. Eduard Serov was the first conductor. Many famous guest conductors and soloists have visited the orchestra. In 1985-2001 The main conductor and artistic director of the orchestra was Nikolai Alexeyev = Николай Алексеев, during this period the orchestra was awarded the honorary title “Academic” (1993), in 2005 - “Gubernatorial = Губернаторский” status. In subsequent years, the team was led by Evgeny Ionesyan, Vladimir Kudrya = Владимир Кудря, Sergey Ferulev, Oleg Zverev, Ilya Derbilov, Fabio Mastrangelo. Since August 2022, the artistic director and conductor of the orchestra has been laureate of the National Theater Award “Golden Mask” Andrei Danilov = Андрей Данилов. The main conductor is Eduard Diadyura = Эдуард Дядюра.
