Shaun Glenville

Irish actor and songwriter who specialised in pantomime performances. Born 16 May 1884 Little Denmark Street, Dublin, Ireland (as John Browne). Died 28 December 1968 (aged 84) London, England, U.K. Father of actor Peter Glenville. Glenville specialised in pantomimes, playing the dame roles, while his wife Dorothy Ward would play the principal boy roles. He was a Music Hall, Pantomime & Theatre performer 1900s to 1950s. Glenville also wrote a few songs including "If You're Irish, Come Into The Parlour" (co-written with Frank Miller (9)).
