Thomas Ruf

After having seen Luther Allison jam with 80-year-old, local folk musicians in his hometown in Germany, Thomas Ruf left the vineyeard in the Black Forest he was working at to become a local band promotor, manager and finally European representative for said Luther Allsion (1939-95), whom he'd befriended so many years earlier before he in 1994 founded Ruf Records.
