The psychobilly/punk rock/rock'n'roll band was founded in Łódź at the turn of November and December 2001 as a new project of some of the musicians of the hard core groups Knockdown and Blood Is The Harvest. Band members: Ula - vocals; Piotr Szambelan – guitar (Inflexible; Blood Is The Harvest; Knockdown; Ask); Sebastian - guitar; Maciek Derfel – bass (Inflexible, Blood Is The Harvest; Knockdown; Ask) and Sławek Witkowski – drums (Bad Mama Jama; Knockdown, Ask). The band started working on musical material, which resulted in a demo album recorded in October 2002 and the beginning of concert activity at the beginning of 2003. During this time, 150 Watts played concerts with such bands as Komety, Stan Zvezda, Blood is The Harvest, Robotix, Knockdown and Kings of Nuthin from Boston. In the summer of 2003, 150 WATTS recorded material that appeared on the album "Letnia Depresja" released by DC-9 Records. The band presented songs embedded in the style of melodic punk rock and rock'n'roll, however, the band members emphasize that they want to avoid being pigeonholed within one musical category.
