Balfe Bradley

Balfe Charles Bradley was born on July 11, 1949, in Toronto, Canada. His father was Arthur Balfe Bradley and his mother was Edna Frances Trask Bradley. He moved with his parents and sister to Jamaica in 1952 where he grew up, attending primary school at Up Park Camp and high school at Calabar in Kingston. His sport was swimming and diving and he won the first international diving medal for Jamaica in the Caribbean Games in the early 1960s. He received his degree in Commercial Art and Photography from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Balfe was in partnership with Ian Roberts in Jamaica, at the Roberts Design Group in the 70s and designed many logos for local businesses, designed album covers for musical artists, as well as advertising campaigns. In 1971 he married Jane Ellen Botts. They had two sons in 1989 and 1990. Balfe passed away in 2010.
