Melodic death metal band from Veddige, Sweden, formed in 1989. One of numerous groups with a hand in establishing the melodic death metal style, or "Gothenburg sound". Eucharist didn't fare particularly well in the face of the era's stiff competition (At The Gates, In Flames, etc.) and the group split-up and reformed several times throughout the 1990's and proceeded to quit in 1998. Band has been active again since 2015.
