(Cádiz, Spain,1975). Scholar and connoisseur of Andalusian jazz and folklore. Formed at the School of Higher Music of Catalonia (ESMUC), Javier Galiana is an Andalusian who goes through being the first graduate in Spain in the discipline of jazz piano, studies concluded in the first promotion (2001-2005) of the aforementioned school. Also the alma mater of the Spice Berberechos formation, in addition to forming a duo with Julián Sánchez with whom he has released albums. He was part of the Manu Chao band among other formations and has been Professor of the School of Modern and Jazz Music of the University of Cádiz, in addition to participating as a pianist with the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and Sonora Big Band de Cádiz.
