Ragnar Nygren

Swedish musician (guitarist), known as "Rock-Ragge", born December 13, 1938 in Stockholm, died April 2, 2011 in Sollefteå. He made it nationally in 1957 as front figure in the band Rock-Ragge And His Four Comets and first gig at Nalen became a huge success. The same year, the band recorded their first EP, on the Decca label, with Teach You To Rock, Be-Bop-A-Lula, Blue Jean Bop and Ballroom Baby. A total of five EPs were released this year. In the 1970s, the Rockfolket, with Rock-Ragge as one of the foreground figures, broke through in Sweden with a mix of rock'n'roll and spex. He died in 2011 at Sollefteå Hospital in long-term cancer.
