Jahrl Instrumental Quintette
Настоящее имя: Jahrl Instrumental Quintette
Об исполнителе:
Popular folk music ensemble led by Swedish-American accordionist Eddy Jahrl. Apart from Jahrl's accordion, the group consisted of musicians playing violin, flute, tuba, banjo, and drums. The ensemble recorded for Victor between 1927 and 1929. Some of its releases, such as "Styrmans Vals" (Mate's Waltz) and "Balen in Karlstad" (The Ball in Karlstadt), were so popular that they were reissued and repressed into the 1950s. They were also marketed to immigrants speaking non-Scandinavian languages such as Polish and Slovenian. In the latter case, Jahrl's quintet appeared under pseudonym, in Polish as Instrumentowy Kwintet "Warszawa" and in Slovenian as Victor Hudebni Kvintet.
