Forest Psychedelic Trance DJ producer based in United Kingdom Also in group Jötunn with Mark Day (2) Hailing from Cold Ash, this arboreal apparition began its existence with the death of its parent tree: an old pine and an unfortunate victim in The Great Fires, started by the obscene mortals who lived nearby. Realising its parent tree had gone forever, it wondered the area alone for weeks, observing the sounds of the forest and occasionally spotting the odd humanoid badger screaming amidst the trees. After being engulfed by all of these sounds, the tree spirit later learned that these noises had names: forest psychedelic trance and black metal. It then began to emanate these sounds, initially with the humanoid badger sounds known as black metal and then with forest psychedelic trance. Surprisingly, the diminutive tree spirit found that it could connect with its parent tree, and its arboreal ancestors, by imitating the sounds of the forest – the creaking of trees, tapping of woodpeckers and vocalisations of animals. Thus the spirit began its ongoing journey, meandering through different sections of the woodland and occasionally venturing into the inhospitable and inorganic habitats of the mortals, forming separate projects along the way (including Jötunn, with its monstrous friend Mr. Day), and enjoying, producing and playing darker styles of psychedelic trance in all of its variants, from mid-paced forest to “aaaaaa”-inducing psycore. Lastly, a word from the tree spirit itself: “Arghughaeewwwkweeeaaaiiirghhh”, which, translated into English, means “Full powder, my friends
