Zincpirithione

Zincpirithione was a Spanish pop band formed in Palma de Mallorca in 1980 playing a fresh Pop with funny lyrics. They recorded just one album, a four tracks Maxisingle, the first "long play" (almost) from the New Wave or Movida Mallorquina. They were Martí Forteza (vocals), Xavier Escutia (guitar and vocals), Tony Noguera (bass), Xisco Riera (drums), Toni Vives (guitar) and Pepe Panades (sax) . Lyrics and music from these early compositions was provided by Toni Vives. The new songs recorded on a demo (1984) promised a shift in direction and maturity but these new songs wouldn't see the light and that same year Zincpirithione aplit up. There were later projects, above all from Xavier Escutia and Tony Noguera who founded Los Valendas.
