Jorge 'Luri' Molina

Mexican bassist. Jorge Luri Molina was born in Mexico City. At the age of 16 he began studying classical double bass and jazz at the Higher School of Music with Nikola Popov. He has participated in jazz festivals in Germany, France, the United States and Mexico. He has recorded more than 15 record productions with prominent personalities from the Mexican jazz scene. With a swing like few others, today it is a key piece of the highest quality local groups, such as the Zinco Big Band, La Tricota del Ritmo, the Ricardo Benítez Jazz Quartet and the Perata-Molina-Kautz Trío. He is a founding member of the singular group Paté de Fuá, in which he works as a double bass player.
