Armenian / Estonian Classical Music Composer. 1925 - 1997. He was born in Kislozavod, Armenia. He studied in Moscow at the Gnessin Schhol. After the Gnessin School, he moved to Estonia, which became his permanent adopted home. He played violin in the Estonian Radio Symphony Orchestra for 4 years and from 1975 - 1986 was the artistic directory of the Estonian State Philharmonic Society. He wrote ten symphonies, several overtures, a succession of works for voices and orchestra, and chamber music.
