Mexican pianist, songwriter. The first album "Guillermo Álvarez Y Su Cómoda de Alambres" (Guillermo Álvarez and His Wire Chest of Drawers) recorded was in 1955, a self-titled LP that managed to gain the approval of the general public for the contagiousness of his music and the quality of the melodies included in it. During the 1950s the pianist Guillermo Álvarez recorded several discs with a very special touch, executing his “wire chest”. He made different versions of fashion songs, but he usually made medley songs that included three songs in one piece. Guillermo Álvarez already in the thirties and forties had accompanied various singers such as Luis Arcaraz, with whom he recorded some songs such as “Hamaca”, a song recorded in 1933 in which Arcaraz was accompanied by who would later be known as Guillermo Álvarez
