Hans Leenders (2)

Professor for organ at the Maastricht conservatory and teaches Gregorian chant and choral conducting at the annual Kurt Thomas Conductor's course in Utrecht. He was born 19 december 1965 in Born, Netherlands. Not to be confused with the other conductor called Hans Leenders. He is conductor and artistic director of the professional chamber choir Vocaal Ensemble Studium Chorale, the Madrigalchor Aachen, and cantor and organist at the O.L.V. basilica in Maastricht. He conducts the Basilicachoir, Schola Nova and Schola Mariana at this basilica. He performs in many European countries and has held guest directorships and workshops at several conservatories and international festivals. As a conductor and organist he is member of Ensemble'88, specialized in contemporary music. His own compositions are published by Ascolta Music Publishing. He is also artistic advisor to the organ festival L'Europe et l'Orgue in Maastricht.
