St. Louis area rock band formed in 1976. Since the band's first performance at Farmington (Missouri) High School in 1976, Medallion has performed throughout the Midwest. The band averaged 80 to 100 shows per year until a 20th anniversary concert in November of 1996. Since then they have only played occasionally, last performing together in December of 2000.
