Don Mousseau

Born: August 10, 1945, Detroit, USA Died: January 10, 2023, Ramsgate, England Don Mousseau was a music manager and artist’s agent who represented Michael Nyman, Nigel Kennedy and Jocelyn Pook. He worked in the promotions department for Transatlantic Records, Shelter/MCA and Island Records before moving into music management with Peter Godwin in 1983. The Greenaway/Nyman collaborations included The Draughtsman’s Contract (1982) and Prospero’s Books (1991). With Kennedy he managed the collaboration with Jaz Coleman for Riders on the Storm: The Doors Concerto (2000). He signed choral group the Mediaeval Baebes to Virgin Records, Donna McKevitt’s song cycle Translucence (1998), Warner Classics.. He oversaw the deal for Jocelyn Pook to score for Stanley Kubrick’s film Eyes Wide Shut (1999).
