Christian Ristow

Born July 02, 1970. American robot artist. Worked with Survival Research Laboratories between 1993-1997. He also collaborated with Seemen during those years. Relocated to Los Angeles in 1997 to work in the field of animatronics for film and television. In Los Angeles he founded the performance group "Robochrist Industries" which gained attention when performing at the Coachella Festival. In 2006 Ristow again relocated to Taos, New Mexico. It marked a turn in artistic output, away from robot-based performances, and in the direction of interactive sculpture.
