US late 60's psych band. Based in Seattle, WA, by late 1967 Blues Interchange had settled down to a line-up of Peter Larson (lead guitar), Phil Kirby (rhythm guitar), Jeff Simmons (bass) and Albert Malosky (drums). In April 1968, by which point they'd changed their name to Easy Chair, the group recorded in a studio in Vancouver, WA, a three-track one-sided album pressed as a very limited edition (thought to be 1000 copies). After supporting The Yardbirds and then Cream, Larson was replaced by Burke Wallace before Simmons hustled an August support slot to The Mothers Of Invention. They relocated to Los Angeles, playing gigs and rehearsals before breaking up in early 1969. Simmons and Malosky stayed in California to record the soundtrack LP for Roger Corman biker film "Naked Angels", with Simmons then releasing the solo LP "Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up" (1969's both albums and on Zappa's Straight label). Jeff Simmons would then join The Mothers for a year or two.
