Tom Boyd (3)

American bluegrass musician and singer, banjo and Dobro player born and raised in Portsmouth, Ohio. Boyd has been playing bluegrass music for over 50. Best known for his very tasteful resonator guitar and banjo playing and harmony work with Larry Sparks from the mid 1970s into the early 1980s, he played on sessions around the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati areas with Mac Wiseman, the Allen Brothers, Jack Casey, and others. After disappearing for several years to pursue a financial career in Chicago, he resurfaced in the mid 2000s as banjoist with the Dry Branch Fire Squad.
