Bill Stallard

Born: December 30, 1913 in Wesleyville, Kentucky - Died: June 4, 1981 AKA: Billie Starr - Indian Bill. Was at WSAZ in Huntington, working with Cowboy Copas along with Natchee, known as the Indian fiddler and Indian Bill and Little Montana (a duo in real life were known as Bill and Evalina Stallard). Part of a troupe of entertainers that was known as "Hill-Billy Varieties". This group included Arthur (Rusty) Gabbard; the Singing Gabbards; Indian Bill and Little Montana. he wrote a few songs including: Headin' Back Home, The Old Deserted Church By The Graveyard, Just a Little Lovin', Dear, It's A Crying Shame, I'll Die Before I'd Tell You Goodbye, Four Walls Around Me, Counting Tears (with Shorty Cook), You're Free To Go (with Shorty Cook).
