Originally the solo project of Vyt Zvirzdinas, he formed a band, The World, after his first single in 1966. They would release four singles (3 under their name and 1 as the Silky Kitten) before splitting up in 1968. Original members were: Vyt Zvirzdinas - Lead Vocals Chris Eggleton - Lead Guitar Brian Lee - Rhythm Guitar George Galas - Bass Guitar Arthur "Dreamy" Watson - Drums (d.2009)
