Phil Schaap

Phil Schaap (born April 6, 1951 in New York City, US - died September 7, 2021 ibid) was an American jazz disc jockey, historian, archivist, producer, and educator. He received 6 Grammy Awards over the course of his career, and taught jazz at Columbia University, Rutgers University, Princeton University and The Juilliard School, while running an adult jazz education program for Jazz at Lincoln Center.
