Country performer and songwriter from Canada. Joe was the brother of Vivian Brown, with whom he played in The Hillbilly Jewels. After the The Hillbilly Jewels, he put down roots in Ottawa, and became a member of The Happy Wanderers (2). In 1967 he assembled Family Brown (2) which included his children Tracey Brown (2), Barry Brown (3) and Lawanda Brown. Husband of Flora Brown; father of Morgan Brown (4); grandfather of Kaylen Prescott and Kelly Prescott. Born August 30, 1925 in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Died May 30, 1986 in Chelsey, Ontario.
