Jean Dorais

Guitarist-composer-vocalist Jean Dorais is one of the four co-founders of Quebec progressive rock band Octobre, along with his cousin Pierre Flynn and high-school buddies Mario Légaré and Pierre Hébert. Jean had initially played in various bands including Gladstone, Jude 3 (which morphed into the group Pollen (8)) and finally Maelstrom (which subsequently changed it's name to Octobre). After the break up of Octobre in 1982, Jean Dorais released his only solo album Radio Actif, accompanied by Pierre Flynn and with help from Michel Le François and Toby Gendron. Over the years Jean Dorais re-grouped with his buddies from Octobre on several reunion performances and tours.
