Cku Koo Bird

Dandrae L. Jones, better known under his stage name Cku Koo Bird or simply Bird, is a gangsta rapper, producer & label owner who is currently incarcerated. He released 2 solo albums entitled "Livin' 2 Die" (1999) and "The Omen" (2001). Cku Koo Bird then created his own label, Block Life Entertainment, and teamed up with Dennis "Wescrook" Westbrook to form the duo Block Life, which released two albums in the late 2000's. As a solo artist or as one half of Block Life, D. Jones collaborated with several rappers and producers from KC ( Rich The Factor, Boy Big, Don Juan, Vell Bakardy, Incredible Zig, Zeno Vellie, Black Walt, BG Bulletwound, E-Skool & Dun-Deala, Netta Dogg...) and beyond (E-40, Bun B, Shawty Lo...). Bird's career collapsed when he was incarcerated and sentenced in 2011 to 30 years in prison without parole for his participation in a cocaine distribution ring. Wescrook, Zeno Vellie & Black Walt were also convicted in this case.
