Erasmus Rotenbucher

Erasmus Rotenbucher (also Rothenpucher, Rottenbücher, actually Haunreuter, also Hannreither, Haureuther; * around 1525 in Braunau am Inn, Bavaria at the time; † 13 (?, buried 15) July 1586 in Nuremberg) was co-administrator of the Egidiengymnasium in Nuremberg and a collector of songs. He was a great lover and connoisseur of music, and on the occasion of social gatherings he published two large compilations, one with sacred and one with secular songs for tenor and bass singers.
